It was determined on Monday that neither Tristan Thompson nor Anthony Parker would make the trip to Miami to play against the Heat on Tuesday. There was hope, however, that Daniel Gibson would be able to make the trip and rejoin the team, presumably as the starting shooting guard.

Bob Finnan has now confirmed that Boobie did not make the trip with the team and is out once again. After waiving Mychel Thompson, this puts the Cavs in a difficult spot. Thompson starting at shooting guard in each of the past three games, but is now no longer on the roster. Gibson has missed the past 4 games with a neck infection. He told reporters that he was feeling much better, despite not making the trip with the team.

It seems likely that Alonzo Gee will be asked to make the spot start at shooting guard on Tuesday against Miami.

Start Sessions and Irving!

I think this means skyenga will get some minutes

It pretty much has to. I think Gee will start at SG though

Finally! Though I do understand what coach is doing with the two lines and all, this is our best lineup. Having Gee in almost makes up for Antawn’s defensive deficiency

skyenga

Would like to see him and maybe put him on James. He has the speed and the vertical leap to give him resistance. What Scott does this game will be interesting and how he uses his players. Need to try a little something different and see what happens. Something good may come of it. Hope they get Harris on a 10 day contract. He has been putting good numbers up in Canton. I woukd take him over Parker any day !

Gee played very well on James last time, he’ll be there again.

Yea. I don’t mind gee and eyenga out there together, though. We have to defend Lbj and wade somehow

Yeah, keep in mind Wade didn’t even play last time.
