Ben Wallace is out of tonight's game against the Pacers in Indiana and his status moving forward is cloudy at best.
According to the team, Wallace did not travel with the team to Indiana last night for tonight’s game vs. the Pacers. Ben was re-evaluated at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health this morning and received an MRI, the results of which revealed a left patella tendon strain. He will receive treatment and rehab here in Cleveland today and is now listed as Out for tonight’s game in Indiana and Doubtful for Wednesday’s game at home vs. Philadelphia. His status will be updated as appropriate.
While his availability for the next two games matters little, the Cavaliers need Ben's presence in the middle for a prolonged playoff run that will likely feature drawn out playoff series against Boston/Orlando and LA.

Why?
What did we ever do to deserve this?

I think we'll survive the first two rounds
Beating Detroit, Atlanta, or Miami is doable without Ben Wallace. Of course, it’s going to be much more difficult and grueling, but the Cavs are capable of it. But we need him for the Conference Finals.

Relax.
No one is saying in this report that he’s gonna miss the playoffs. Better to rest him now.
