I just need to get that horrible taste out of my mouth left by the result of the Wizards game. Hopefully the Cavaliers can do just that tonight in Indiana against the Pacers. Danny Granger is one of the most explosive scorers in the NBA, and he especially loves to get up for LeBron.

LeBron re-injuries left wrist
"I hit it pretty bad on the rim," said James, who iced his wrist in the locker room after the game. "It's like you hit your funny bone, but it's not funny at all."

The Cavaliers, minus two very important parts of their front-court, head to Washington D.C. to face the Wizards, a matchup that is always fun to watch. These two teams just don;t like each other very much, and after the Cavaliers erased a 17-point deficit earlier this season at The Q, you can bet the Wizards will be looking, once again, for revenge.

Battered and bruised Cavaliers head to Washington
After some computer troubles of my own, and with the network - the latter which killed the open thread last night - I am back and better than ever. Hopefully, we'll be saying that about some of the injured Cavaliers, especially across the front-line.
Here is the latest -
Jamario Moon -- Moon left last night's game vs. the Golden State Warriors with 11:03 remaining in the 3rd quarter with a sprained left ankle. He did not return to the game. He traveled with the team to Washington and is listed as QUESTIONABLE for tomorrow night's game versus the Wizards.
That's the good news. Now for the not so good.
Anderson Varejao - Varejao did not play in the game vs. Golden State (hip contusion). He traveled with the team to Washington but is listed as OUT for tomorrow night's game.
Shaquille O'Neal - Shaq also missed the game vs. the Warriors (shoulder strain). He did not travel with the team to Washington and will remain in Cleveland to receive treatment.
Leon Powe - Powe is still rehabbing his left knee.
Delonte West - Your guess is as good as mine. West is due in court in a couple days, so I'd imagine we won't be seeing him for awhile. At what point do the Cavaliers simply move on without West??

Stephen Jackson traded to Bobcats
It looks as though Stephen Jackon won't be coming to Cleveland this year, as the Warriors have agreed to trade him and guard Acie Law to the Bobcats for Raja Bell and Vladimir Radmanovic. There has been rumors about the Cavs trying to acquire him to give them more scoring in the backcourt but the team was hesitant to make a move this early in the season, choosing to wait and see how their new lineup progressed.
Brian Windhorst reports that the Cavs had talked to the Warriors and supposedly had an offer on the table. The names involved included Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Delonte West, and even a sign-and-trade with Wally Szczerbiak. The Cavs didn't want to give up an size for Jackson and would only include Z if they promised to buy him out and he'd return to the Cavs after 30 days. But the Cavs' improved play the past couple weeks made them reluctanct to improve their offer and the Warriors wanted to get rid of Jackson as soon as possible. In the end, the deal they got from Charlotte may have been better than any which the Cavs were offering, plus they got to send Jackson to a team where he didn't want to play.
The Cavs play Golden State on Tuesday night so we may see those new players in uniform then.

Hopefully the site problems that have plagued me for the last day are resolved and I can get back to basketball. The Cavaliers were impressive in their early-season test against Orlando last night, but the task might be even harder tonight when the Wine and Gold take on the Miami Heat.

I'm sure many of you have had this game circled on the calendar for a while. Just keep in mind that neither team is a finished product and no matter what happens tonight - good or bad - there is A LOT more basketball to be played. Enjoy it for what it is.
Oh yea, it might be a good idea to keep an eye on Shaq V. Howard. This is what Shaq was brought here for.
